Community Profile

Lake County enjoys a diverse and continually growing population base. As of 2015, Lake County’s population totaled over 323,000, an over 50% increase over the 2000 population. Since 2000, Lake County has been the 6th fastest growing county in the State of Florida. As the Orlando urban core continues to approach build-out, Lake County is expected to experience significant population growth over the coming decades. Forecasts predict Lake County’s population to grow to over 425,000 by 2025 and over 520,000 by 2040.
