Release Date: April 06, 2016

MOUNT DORA — Lake County’s Economic Development & Tourism Division is proudly sponsoring the 3rd Annual Partners for Success, alongside Lake-Sumter State College, Lake County Schools, Lake Technical College, and the Lake County Chamber Alliance, from 5- 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19 at Lake Receptions, 4425 N. Partners for Success is a networking event designed to bring together students and educational and business leaders with the goal of opening up a dialogue that focuses on jobs. Current pupils and soon-to-be graduates trained in various technical trades will mix and mingle with business professionals during the event.

“Partners for Success has proven to be a successful step in our countywide team efforts to join the business community and future workforce,” said Adam Sumner, Lake County’s Economic Development & Tourism Division manager. “This is an ideal opportunity for students to showcase their employable skills and for business owners to meet with potential employees.”
All local entrepreneurs and Human Resources professionals are invited to attend and experience the innovative training Lake County students are receiving through career academies and educational programs, which range from culinary arts to manufacturing to mobile application development.

Business leaders can get even more involved by becoming mentors, or offering internships, job shadowing or on-the-job training. For more information about Partners for Success, contact Nancy Muenzmay, Director of the Lake County Business Opportunity Centers, at or 352-602-4575.
