Lake County’s Economic Development Department is driven by a mission to provide persistent, on-going support to local businesses, realizing that existing businesses are the lifeblood of Lake County’s economy, and a thriving local economy can only be achieved if these existing businesses are allowed to prosper. Through a multi-tiered approach to business retention and expansion, Lake County has created an extensive business support system that assists businesses in achieving their goals of economic prosperity.

Whether it’s through dedicated Economic Development Coordinators, whose territory assignments and regular business visit responsibilities enable them to cultivate relationships with local businesses; supporting strategically located Business Opportunity Centers, which provide full-service business support and locally managed incubator programs; or one of the many partnerships with local business assistance organizations, Lake County’s Economic Development Department has a program in place to support every local business, regardless of size or business cycle.
